Minerva speakeasy, unmarked on the outside (door with a huge sun on it). Some bartenders speak English, great cocktails (check out their specials), great ambiance.

Historic Center/zone 1

El Portal listen to the band which focuses on the main instrument the marimba, Guatemala’s national instrument. Open since 1932, Che Guevara is said to have drank beer here.

Las Cien Puertas is a street blocked off by an iron gate. Several bars. La Luna is nice for a quick drink.
