Pacaya Volcano Experience 

Entrance to the trail

A trail guide is required to pass along the trail in the Volcano Park. website

$125 per person is the going rate for round trip driver pickup from the hotel and entrance fee to the trail. Plan 6 hours from pickup to drop off back at the hotel. About 1.5 hours to get from the hotel to the visitors center.

Different experiences available-

Hike or take the mules. Q300 for the mules per person (paid directedly to animal handler)

Running shoes OK. Bring an extra bottle of water. Bathrooms available at the trail entrance. Trail has lots of shade. Starts at 6000ft with 1500ft altitude gain in 3k. Plenty of random dogs to keep away the snakes.

$45 for a pizza cooked on the mountain. Or cook marshmallows on the lava steam.
